“Three Meetings. Three Aces” is an inspiring language practice event series at the Narva Estonian Language House, aimed at introducing participants to well-known people from different fields whose work and professions are of broad interest. Each guest speaker also leads a practical workshop. Over the course of three weeks, there will be three meetings — one each week.
02.06 — memory trainer Tauri Tallermaa.
A practical workshop about the possibilities of the brain, memory, and how to remember new words more effectively.
11.06 — film director Moonika Siimets.
The director of the film The Little Comrade will talk about the secrets of cinema and lead a practical workshop where everyone can try themselves in the role of an actor.
18.06 — illustrator and artist Joonas Sildre.
A practical meeting with the world of visual storytelling — how images, drawings, and illustrations help people express their thoughts more boldly.
During the three meetings, participants will have the opportunity to practice Estonian through direct communication with well-known people working in different fields of culture, creativity, and contemporary thinking — from the possibilities of the brain and memory to cinema, visual thinking, and art.
The meetings combine practical language use, discussions, and creative tasks, helping participants develop confidence in communication, expand their vocabulary, and improve their self-expression skills in Estonian. Each guest speaker will open the door to their professional world and invite participants to think, experiment, and create together.
Skills developed: spoken communication, listening comprehension, vocabulary expansion, confidence in communication, and intercultural communication competence.
