On September 26, stop by at Tartu's famous Werner CafΓ© on Ülikooli Street 11 where you can enjoy some exquisite linguistic treats together with a free coffee and a cookie. πŸ‘‰ While drinking your coffee, you can listen to the live performance of an Estonian poetry classic in various European languages, including Czech, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Irish, Italian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Latvian, Hungarian and Spanish. You can also learn a few words in each language and get a taste of the cultural heritage and study opportunities in the respective countries. The event is organized by the European Commission Representation in Estonia in cooperation with Foreign Embassies represented in Estonia and the EU National Institutes of Culture. Language cafe is part of the additional program of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024.
