Journey to the world of sounds with rare instruments (Pärnu)

We are going to journey to the world of sounds. Sound therapist Elis Annelie talks about her instruments and the distant countries that she visited in order to acquire these.

Sound therapy is a unique way of relieving tension and stress. Research also confirms the positive effect of sound therapies. Elis Annelie is going to take us along on a journey of sounds which combines the wisdom of historic sound therapy schools – Tibetan, Nepalese, Indian, German, and Russian traditions.

The natural sounds of real instruments take away anxiety and restlessness. Sound waves and harmonies help establish and strengthen emotional balance.

In the course of the event, we are going to listen to the sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, drums, string instruments, and unique instruments, such as TaKoMo and crystal harp.

At the end of the journey, we will drink some tea together and Elis Annelie will tell us about her instruments and the far-away lands she has visited in order to acquire these.

Archery battle at Kõveri Holiday Centre (Pärnu)

We are going to travel to Kõveri village in Surju Municipality in Pärnu County, where archery instructors are going to turn us into a team of bowmen. Afterwards, we will explore a local old farm, visit the largest goat willow in Estonia, and practice Estonian.

First, we will practice shooting with bows and arrows in the practice range, and then, we are going to form several teams and complete the field archery track with 14 animal-shaped targets. The instruction takes place in Estonian.

Team work encourages communication and exchanging information between the students of Estonian language – this means that team members will participate in making decisions and will have to act fast. The teams must function in a coordinated manner in a competitive environment, particularly due to the novel nature of the tasks which require creativity. We are going to share our emotions and be accepting of each other's feelings during the activity.

After the battle, we are going to explore a site of an old farm by the River Ura, a local hiking trail, and admire the largest goat willow in Estonia. At the end of the day, we will share a meal and then travel back to Pärnu.
